This Qvevri wine from the Gurjaani region in Kakheti is made from the old Rkatsiteli grape using an ancient Georgian traditional method. The mashed grapes, together with the skin and seeds, are placed in large clay vessels, the qvevris, which are buried underground. This allows the wine to mature in its natural condition for 6-7 months.
