Sesiashvilis royal Gavazi Qvevri red

Gavazi is a village in Kakheti, eastern Georgia, east of the Alazani River. The Gavazi wine was created in the 17th century using kakhetian technology. It was a special creation for the royal family of the Kakhetian king Teimuraz (1606-1648). The wine is made of late-harvested, overripe berries of the varieties Saperavi, Tavkveri and Saperavi-Budushuri with fermentation in Qvevri and subsequent maturation in oak barrels.

  • Dark cherry color, intense body, complex aroma and fine taste
